HSE Manager


Job Summary:
Reporting to the HSE Director, the HSE Manager is tasked with the implementation, delivery and monitoring of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Support and promote PWT Core Values through all work related duties.
· Be familiar with and support all company policies and procedures.
· Support, communicate and educate all employees in understanding and implementing   the Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System.
· Support the HSE director in ensuring that adequate and timely staff acquisitions are made.
· Conduct regular staff performance reviews.
· Manage employee performance issues.
· Manage staff orientation, training and professional development programs.

Effort Factors

1. Working Conditions:  
80% of work is conducted in the office completing documentation, reports or administrative task etc., with remaining 20% of time spent in client meetings   and program delivery programs.  The HSE Manager will be available for business travel and extended working hours, as required with reasonable notice.

HSE Team Lead
















Job Summary:
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Team Lead is tasked with the implementation, delivery and monitoring of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Program in addition to supporting field level HSE Specialists and leading or supporting serious/high profile investigations.

Duties and Responsibilities:


· Support and promote PWT Core Values through all work related duties.
· Be familiar with and support all company policies and procedures.
· Support, communicate and educate all employees in understanding and implementing   the Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System.
· Support the HSE Manager / Director in selection and recruitment of new HSE Team members.

HSE Facility Specialist













 
Job Summary:

· Facilitate and / or complete monthly maintenance employee meetings and shop and satellite site inspections. 
· Liaise with maintenance department to ensure that all identified safety issues are addressed and controls are implemented.
· Monitor and address any potential or actual environmental hazards.  
· Focused on the health, safety and environmental management systems, provide health, safety and environmental guidance, assistance and advice to staff - specifically, the development, promotion and monitoring of safe and healthy work and environmental practices, procedures and corporate programs. 
· Maintain the Health, safety and environmental management programs.
· Develop and implement an action plan for continual improvement based on the previous client, COR and NSC’s audit results. 
· Mentor, support, and provide appropriate documentation for front line supervisors in the areas of emergency and environmental responses as well as reporting protocols. 
· Provide support for all training initiatives – facilitating programs as required, teaching the new hire HSE orientation program with the support of the training department and conducting review sessions in employee safety meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop training plans and programs, prepare training materials and deliver training courses as required
· Implement and maintain company HSE Management Systems documentation.
· Perform internal HSE assessments in area of responsibility and reports to management on findings
· Coordinate with operations and maintenance to ensure that monthly employee safety meetings are completed and documented.
· Coordinate required equipment and facility safety inspections at least monthly.
· Participate in the Joint Health and Safety meetings at each facility as able.
· Monitor and action the yards, barns and ponds at each facility ensuring that any spills, releases and potential environmental incidents are managed appropriately.
· Work with all departments and divisions to evaluate, complete and communicate required new or revised procedures.
· Maintain facility safety boards. 
· Participate in the Lunch and Learn program, highlighting new policies and procedures.  
· Establishes written NCS & OHS standards, reviews and updates annually to secure compliance with all related NCS & OHS acts and company policies.
· Provides companywide direction for occupational hygiene concerns, hazardous material management, loss control and environmental issues.
· Develops best practices and benchmarking for continuous improvement.
· Conducts training needs analysis, development and presentations as
required.
· Monitors new and revised legislation and ensures Company’s compliance to legislated requirements.Maintain database of incident files to ensure company documentation for regulatory audits. 
· Coach co-workers in DTL policies and procedures.
· Performs other duties as required by the HSE Director and SLT

Qualifications and Experience:

· College diploma/degree in related field  - experience in the transportation / logistics industry with knowledge of dispatch is essential

Job Summary:

Reporting to the HSE Team Lead/HSE Manager, the HSE Specialist is tasked with the promotion and monitoring and delivery of the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Program. HSE Specialists will conduct investigations and mentor/assist other departments in conducting investigations, ensuring that DTL systems are constantly evolving and improving to meet or exceed company, legislated and client requirements.
Additionally, HSE Specialists will assist, as required, in the development and implementation of various proactive initiatives including new employee orientations, contractor orientations, supervisory safety training, facility inspections and HSE meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Support and promote the PWT Core Values through all work related duties
· Be familiar with and support all company policies and procedures
· Support the implementation of HSE initiatives and processes to build an organization-wide safety culture.

Job Summary:

Diversified Transportation Limited, Fort McMurray is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to lead one of their client services teams.   
Ideal candidates will have management experience with a focus on customer relationship management, operational excellence and team leadership.
  
Duties and responsibilities:

· Manage the day to day activities of the operations team to ensure the customer requirements are met in the most efficient manner.
· Take ownership for the success of 40-50 drivers including the reinforcement of safe driving practices.   
· Ensure consistent on-time performance on all routes.
· Ensure proper equipment utilization and that units are available for scheduled maintenance.
· Communicate effectively with customers, operations, maintenance, safety, training and the union in order to perform activities in the best possible manner.
· Monitor service levels to ensure that performance statistics meet our customer operational requirements. 
· Lead organizational efforts to optimize the efficiency of the operation.
· Ensure proper resources exist to support the budgeted workload and develop contingency plans necessary to accommodate peak capacity requirements.  
· Review existing tools, techniques and methodologies and select/develop required additions.
· Support the attraction and retention of qualified drivers. 
· Perform various analyses of the division’s activities to ensure the division meets its financial and operational objectives.

Radio Dispatcher












Job Summary:
Reporting to the Command Centre Manager this position is responsible to ensure service levels are met with the resources available. In addition this position supports the rest of the office staff by helping them with phone calls or assigning buses and completing the necessary paperwork on a daily basis to ensure the proper documentation of the day’s events.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Management and organization of drivers including response to start time and route coverage issues.
· Adjust routes, coaches and drivers to ensure timely and accurate response to Operators, Supervisors and other management staff.
· Emergency Response coordination with Maintenance, Operations, and Safety staff as required.
· Completion of necessary reporting process in an accurate and timely manner.
· Monitoring telephones and assisting with answering and providing information to customers and other staff members.
· Verifying with drivers work assignments or gathering availability data.
· Any other duties as directed and assigned by management.


Qualifications and Experience:
· Minimum Secondary School education.
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
· Proven multi-tasking abilities.
· Must be able to concentrate and work in a fast paced environment.
· Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite, email and operating systems.
· A working knowledge of the region and the local Oilsands Industry.

Bus Driver Scheduler














Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Centre Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for the daily scheduling of drivers and runs to accommodate the service requirements of both Coach and Site Services Divisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzing data and routing schedules, tracking and mapping for the purpose of preparing required reports and/or providing information to Operations Centre Manager.

Communicates, as needed, with Operators and Contract Managers for the purpose of resolving routing difficulties, problems, and/or situations to ensure passengers are transported safely and in a timely manner to and from destinations.

Coordinates bus scheduling to accommodate daily runs and other various activities (e.g. charter work) for the purpose of delivering transportation services as required.
Ensure that all scheduled work is completed in a timely and cost effective manner.

Interpretation of policies and regulations, for the purpose of delivering service in conformance with Diversified Transportation objectives.

Maintaining manuals and computer-generated documents, files, scheduling records and routing software, reports for the purpose of ensuring an up-to-date reference trail for compliance and/or the conveying of information.

Monitors compliance with federal, provincial, and district transportation regulations and procedures for the purpose of ensuring requirements are met.

Provides reports and data to Operations Centre Manager for the purpose of improving 
service and efficiency of bus schedules.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma (minimum)
  • Background in logistic and/or transportation scheduling is considered a definite asset.
  • Computer proficiency- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point (excellent over-all skills required)
